My Story

I had wonderful career in the field of child and family wellbeing, working in public and not-for-profit organizations developing, funding, and implementing programs to increase healthy births and school readiness and to decrease teen births and child abuse and neglect. It was both rewarding and challenging, but I loved the work. Early morning walks across the intercoastal waterway bridge every morning with my puppy, Putter, and my point and shoot camera were my way to decompress. When I stepped away from working full time in 2017, my husband encouraged me to focus on developing my photography.

From that point on, I have been on a journey of learning and developing my photography. I love being out with my camera in hand in nature, gardens and my neighborhood photographing scenes that capture my imagination and best of all take my breath away. I also, on bad weather days, enjoy working in my ad-hoc studio creating floral and still life scenes.

My work ranges across single flowers, gardens, intimate landscapes and interiors or exteriors of buildings. I have been juried into national, regional, and local competitions and am a member of the Art League’s Gallery 75 in Alexandria, VA

Thank you and I hope you enjoy my images,
